Lockdown Update and Rhythm Time

It’s incredible to think that we’ve all been in lock-down for over six weeks now and we send you and your loved ones our warmest wishes. We warmly invite customers to keep in touch through our social media channels, www.facebook.com/H.O.P.ERetail, www.instagram.com/h.o.p.e_retail. We’d love to see or hear what you’ve been up to. Although we feel we’ve got a rather substantial ‘dressing-up box’ here at Fancy-Pants, we love seeing your homemade creations and themes, so tag away folks.

Through our blog and social media we have shared with you some of the delights of our newest products in our gift and homeware collections, but we’re most excited about our ever evolving fancy dress, accessories and vintage range.

We’ve had great fun supporting Rhythm Time (Cheshire) too. They have taken their pre-school music classes online and every Tuesday morning Frances has done a live video stream. Not wearing her statement Rhythm Time sunshine yellow t-shirt though, oh no, in fancy dress costume of course! Each week Frances has been modelling one of our costumes to delight her students while delivering Birthday messages. This week we were greeted by Alice in Wonderland classic, ‘The Queen of Hearts’, who was absolutely not going to share her tarts! It’s anyone’s guess what she’ll wear next week?

If there’s anything in particular that you’d like to see Frances try, any special Birthday requests perhaps, or you’d like to know more about our costumes, drop us an e-mail to wish@hoperetail.co.uk.

We do not know when we’ll be reopening our doors, but our online store is still operating. We have extended our discount code HOPE5 until at least the end of May 2020. We continue to offer free delivery within our local ST7 postcode for orders over £15 and a 100% non-contact click and collect service too. We are mindful of all government guidelines and can guarantee we are following all recommended measures to ensure our customers safety comes first.

For now though, we wish you all well and look forward to seeing you again very soon we hope.

Coronavirus Update

We know and understand it’s not the easiest of times for any of us, particularly the older and more vulnerable members of our community. To make things a little easier and to keep up with events, (our daughter ‘Hope’ turned 18 on Monday 23 March and we too had to change our own plans of course, with family and friends) we are offering a FREE NON-CONTACT DELIVERY to ST7 residents of our entire range of gifts, cards, handbags, jewellery and interior styling – all unique and all exclusive to us here at H.O.P.E, applicable on all purchases of £15 and above.

Sending love and health to our wonderful customers, new and old, throughout South Cheshire and North Staffordshire.

February Update

And relax…… we’ve had a very exciting month! After chancing across our most beautiful listed building in December, whilst attending one of our many frost fairs, we have finally opened our new store in Leek.  Known locally as ‘The Queen of the Moorlands’ Leek is the prettiest town with a thriving market, artisan shops and is absolutely bursting with independent retailers.  It wasn’t a difficult decision to settle here.

The  #totallylocallyleek market is held on the first Sunday of the month and it is inspiring to see so many local traders selling their wares.    The #foxloweartscentre (one of our neighbours) is also open on market days, with its coffee shop and the #foxandcrow gallery.  If you haven’t visited Leek recently, it’s well worth a visit to the town… do pop in to see us, we love a good chinwag!

January Update

2020 – how quick has that come around?? It seems like only yesterday we were all worrying about the Millennium Virus!

Well it’s here and January is as busy as busy can be with so much going on! This year Burns Night and Chinese New Year both happen on the same night, 25th January – oh what a party that will be.  Naturally, we have costumes for both occasions. For Burns Night we have kilts aplenty http://www.hoperetail.co.uk/?s=scotland and for Chinese New Year (2020 is The Year of the Rat) how about a little sashay to China town in one of these http://www.hoperetail.co.uk/?s=chinese

Can’t wait to see you very soon, until then Happy New Year 2020, or should we say Gong Xi Fa Cai…..

Christmas Puddings and Plump Snowmen

There are only 47 days until Christmas, and if you’re anything like us, we are only just starting to think about all the preparations.  Shopping, cooking, parties, kids Nativity plays, etc., etc.  What we all need is our own helpful army of Elves to help us make our family Christmas dreams come true.  Well whether you’re on the naughty or nice list, we can help.  H.O.P.E have a fabulous new collection of gifts which we’ll be launching at all the wonderful Christmas and Artisan markets we are booked into, starting with Nantwich Christmas Lights Market next Friday 15th November 12-7.30 and again on Saturday 16th in Nantwich 9-4.

If it’s our costumes you’re interested in, all our Nativity costumes are now half price, making way for new stock all round.  The wonderful heavily quilted Silver Shining Star (as seen in The Nativity movies with Mr Poppy) is now only £9.99 and is great fun for the kids all year round too.  From our enormously cute furry snowman with oversized head and carrot nose (only £39.99) to our Christmas Pudding, we have the perfect costume! Have a little browse of the site, or why not call us if you can’t find what you’re looking for, not everything is online… can’t wait to hear from you.

Pumpkin Lollipops

Have you seen a sweeter pumpkin? With orange and white lollipops making up the “hair,” most of the design is done. It’s minimal carving and maximal fun.

Got your costume sorted yet?  We’ve got some amazing bargains in our ex hire listings over on the Fancy Dress – Halloween page and tons more ‘off the shelf costumes’ in stock at heavily discounted prices, which haven’t made it onto our website just yet – give us a bell and give us a try – we love a challenge 01270 258729.

Today’s the Day!

What day I hear you cry? Well it’s only bloomin’ National Ride the Wind Day – who’d have thunk it?? Us, that’s who!!

What a day to let your imagination run wild – how will you ride the wind? Well Superman is the obvious one or how about Mary Poppins http://www.hoperetail.co.uk/?s=mary+poppins or better still dress the kids as a ladybird and see how much fun they can have riding the wind http://www.hoperetail.co.uk/?s=bird.

We have so many costumes we are sure to have one that will help you take flight this bank holiday weekend – just don’t fly too close to the sun – it didn’t end well for the last one who tried that! http://www.hoperetail.co.uk/fancy-dress/
